Software Acoustic Scanner version 0.20

Main window of Acoustic Scanner

Visual VibroAcoustics (VVA) develops Windows-based acoustic holography software -- Acoustic Scanner® which uses the technique of the multireference scann-based nearfield acoustical holography to identify sound sources and reconstructing 3-D sound fields by backward propagation of the pressures measured on a microphone antenna. The stationarity of sources makes it possible to use a scan microphone antenna and fixed-location-reference signals for data acquisition in a whole hologram plane. An enough number of references should be used for an industrial source comprising several independent sources (partially-coherent radiating pressure fields).

Sound fields (pressure, velocity, sound intensity, etc) are displayed in a plane of objects under being studied (projection plane). The representations can be scalar or vector plots. Acoustic Scanner provides users with the options of graphic representation in a raw frequency range, octave or one-third octave bands.
